How may I actually get an invite? One that lets me create an account and everything? I signed up for Diaspora and got two emails. The first asked me to confirm my subscription which I did and the second one said Subscription Confirmed and told me that invites would be “rolling out”. However I have heard from other people that signed up months ago that they never got an invite. So I really don’t want to sit around and wait for months on end when I can be on a different site. Thank you for any help :) Btw my email is cressalys@gmx.us if that helps anything.

Nice to see people doing the invite chain thing, Diaspora* is awesome and you should definitely give it a try :D
Use http://podupti.me to compare public pods and chose one that does not need an invite. Just make sure it has https, recent updates and a good uptime.
Once you get an invite here, please come back and invite those who are still waiting for an invite. Update the request with a comment so that invites are not wasted. Keep the chain going! Enjoy the party!
